Top Charts

The Top Chart feature allows users to identify the top-ranked applications in the store, country, and categories of their choice.

The explored view allows you to have efficient access to the Free, Grossing, and Paid Top Charts of your chosen categories. You can analyze the Top Apps by rank and growth at the selected date. The Explore view allows you to investigate one specific category of your choice and get a quick overview of competitors.

On the other hand, the My Top Charts feature allows you a similar use as the Explore view, but with an emphasis on comparing up to 9 charts across multiple countries and identifying the fastest growing apps or the strongest trends.

App DNA in Top Charts

Another valuable feature that is now available on AppTweak is the App DNA. The App DNA provides a robust taxonomy of apps to paint a more precise and comprehensive picture of the app competitive landscape. The AppDNA of an app is a more precise category describing its core purpose.

Therefore you will now have the ability to analyze the Explore view of the App DNA top charts by simply clicking on the App DNA button. Then you have the possibility to choose and select what App DNA Top chart you want to see.

You have 2 ways to choose your AppDNA depending on your preferences:

1. With the interactive Chart:

You can get the definitions of all the App DNA on hoover on the App DNA that you choose.

2. AppDNA List:

If you want to use a more common access, you can use the App DNA List. With the App DNA List, you can also make direct research.

πŸ’‘ You can deepen your analysis and find your closest competitors more in-depth as AppDNA intelligence groups apps of the same nature in a more granular way than the store categories.

In this section, we display the Ratings, the Price, the App Power, and the category in which the App ranks the highest.

As sometimes an app can rank in multiples category we display the category rank in which the app ranks the best. For example, Crumbl Cookies rank in the Food & Drink and Shopping category. As Crumbl Cookies rank 9 in the store categories (Android) Food & Drink we decided to display the one in which he ranks the best.

There are 3 important pieces of information to know about this feature ability:

  • Available Countries

We now have access to all countries in the Top Charts App/Game DNA.

  • Today Only

AppDNA is constant through time, as long as the app's core identity doesn't change. Therefore it will be in the Rank section for today only. We will not have access to the growth part and to the top chart history.
