Adding an app to your account is the first step to take on AppTweak; your data and progress will be saved as soon as an app is followed. You can add apps:

  • In different countries

  • On the Google Play Store and/or App Store

  • For an iPad and/or iPhone

  • In different languages

πŸ’‘ There are 2 ways to add apps to your account; both will unlock different insights.

  1. Search for an app

  2. Connect your app

πŸ‘‰ First option: Search for an app

We'll first focus on how to add your app by manually searching for it.

Step 1: Find your app

Select the primary country your app is available in and type your app name into the search bar. As soon as you type, you’ll be given a list of possible matches for both the App Store and Google Play Store. Select your app by clicking on the app name. If you don’t see your app, try searching for it again using the ID or URL.

πŸ’‘ Don’t have an app yet? Simply search for a competitor or similar app.

Why can't I find my app? If the app you're looking for currently has a very low ranking or was only published a few days ago and doesn't have many downloads yet, we may not be able to find it.

Step 2: Add competitors

We automatically generate a list of suggested competitors for your app in its respective country. In addition, you can always search for specific competitors in the search bar. You can add and delete competitors as you wish in the dedicated section. πŸ’‘ To see actionable insights, we recommend you add at least two competitors to your app.

Finally, confirm that everything looks good and add the app to your dashboard!

πŸ‘‰ Second option: Connect your app

By connecting your app, you'll be able to:

  • Easily import the apps you want to work on in your target markets

  • Access all your data in one place and compare your app’s downloads, revenue, and conversion rate across countries over time

  • Get all of your install keywords directly from Google

  • Reply to reviews directly on AppTweak

There are 5 types of integrations that allow you to import your app using the data in your Google and/or Apple consoles. Each integration unlocks unique data.

πŸ”Œ Specifically, connecting App Store Connect will allow you to:

  • Compare your real downloads and revenues with your competitors

  • Measure your app's conversion rate across countries

  • Analyze the impact of your ASO efforts on your impressions and product page views

  • Keep track of your app's financial situation by analyzing revenues, in-app purchases, and paying users

πŸ”Œ Connecting your Google Play Report will allow you to:

  • Compare your real downloads and revenues with your competitors

  • Measure your app's daily user & device installs across countries

  • Keep track of your app's financial situation by analyzing your real revenues and your new, active, and canceled subscriptions

πŸ”Œ Connecting your Google Play Console will allow you to:

  • Analyze the impact of your ASO efforts on your store listing acquisitions and visitors

  • Measure your app's conversion rate across countries

  • Import competitors from your peer group

  • Analyze the keywords that drive the most installs to your app

πŸ”Œ Connecting your Google Reviews will allow you to:

  • Improve your user's perception by replying to their reviews

  • Not leave bad reviews unanswered too long so users see you care about their feedback
