Follow these steps to link your Google reviews integration with AppTweak.

⚠️ In order to complete all steps to sync your Google reviews integration, you will have to be the owner of your console.

1. On your ASO dashboard, click on Import Your Apps.

2. Select the Google Reviews integration and click "Connect Account".

Unlike Apple apps, Android apps require a new integration in order for you to reply to reviews. As a result, you will have to select the integration Google Reviews and follow the process in order to access this feature.

3. Find the right JSON file

In order to get this JSON file, you will have to follow several steps and grant different permissions in order to access this feature. Here are the steps to follow:

a) Create a new service account

For this part, you need to go to your google play console in the settings section > Developer account > API access.

⚠️ To access this section you will need to be the account owner! Otherwise, you will not be able to access it.

Once you are in this section, you will have to create a new service account which will allow us to proceed with the integration.

Once you have clicked on "create new service account", Google asks you to complete this 4 steps process:

When you go on your Google Cloud Platform (⚠️ Careful, since you still need to be on your console's google account otherwise you won't be able to proceed). You need to select the Google Play Console Developer project:

In this project, you will be able to click on "Create service account". This service account is very important since it will give us permission to inform your console when you have replied to reviews in our tool.

When you create the new service account, you can call it as you wish but it may be better to find a name related to its purpose such as "apptweak-reply-to-reviews". You can also add a description to explain what this service account is created for but this is optional.

After you have completed the first step, you need to grant this service account access to the project so that it has permission to complete specific actions on the resources in your project. To do so, you have to select the role "Basic" in "Viewer" mode.

b) Create a new service account and get your JSON file

Once the service account has been created, you will need to add a "key" to it. This step will allow AppTweak to access your service account and it will create the JSON file you will have to upload in our interface:

First, you need to click on the three dots for the account service you just created and click on "Manage keys"

In the "Manage keys" section, you will be able to download the JSON file by clicking on Add key > Create new key

You will see this pop-up asking you which type of key you need. You have to Select the JSON option.

Once the JSON file is downloaded, you can keep it for the final step of this integration. First, AppTweak will need you to update this service account in order to grant access to reply to reviews.

4. Grant the right permissions

Go back to your console and refresh your service accounts in order to see the newly created one:

Select the right service account and click on "Grant access"

This will open the permission page where you can select the right permissions to allow you to reply directly on AppTweak.

The first option you have to tick is the "View app information and download bulk reports (read only)" so that AppTweak can see which apps this service account concerns:

The second option you have to tick is "Reply to Reviews". As its name indicates it, it will allow you to reply to reviews by using this service account.

⚠️ By default, all apps are selected for the service account, but you can check in the section App permissions and make sure you selected all your apps. If you have integrated, and we still get the information that you don't have the right permissions, it may be because your apps were not selected by default ⚠️

5. Upload your JSON file

Once all the other steps are completed, you can upload the JSON file you previously downloaded in our integration modal:

Once this step is completed, you can go on the app you integrated and start replying to their reviews! Don't forget to follow these apps!
