Want to start visualizing your AppsFlyer data in Reporting Studio? First, you'll need to connect your AppsFlyer account to AppTweak. Follow the instructions here to connect AppsFlyer with AppTweak.

Data Structure

To access an AppsFlyer metric, you'll need to provide the following input data:

  • Metric

  • Country & application

    • The list of available countries is the same as those available on AppTweak.

    • The list of apps will come from your AppsFlyer integration.

  • Dimension

    • Ad Group Name

      • Campaign hierarchy. Corresponds to "Adset" in AppsFlyer.

    • Agency

      • Agency managing your campaigns (if applicable).

    • Campaign Name

      • Campaign hierarchy. Corresponds to "Campaign" in AppsFlyer.

    • Event Name

      • Identifies the event. Some event names have a specific meaning while others relate to in-app events set by the advertiser in the app.

    • Keyword

      • Word(s) used in the user's online search. As reported by the ad network.

    • Media Source

      • List of Ad Networks.

    • Source

      • Organic or Non-organic.

    • Total Value (default value)

      • Aggregated value without filter option.

  • Filter (optional)

    • Depending on the selected dimension type, you'll be able to choose dimension values for which we found non-null data over the selected period.

Missing filter values?

If you don't see a filter in the available options, this means this dimension only has null data over the selected period. Try with another app-country combination or try to increase the date range to see the filter option.

Available Data

List of Metrics

You can access two types of metrics for AppsFlyer, either "Growth" metrics or "Custom metrics".

  • "Growth" metrics are predefined metrics such as Installs, Revenues, or Sessions that you can further filter with the dimension field.

  • "Custom metrics" provide you with an exact count of events or users based on your selected dimension.

List of available metrics in Reporting Studio for AppsFlyer

You can find more detail about the metrics below:

Metric name in AppTweak

Description

Installs

Event count of "af_conversion" in Appsflyer. Includes any type of attribution such as Installs, Re-engagement or Re-attribution.

Revenues

Amount of revenue in USD. Corresponds to "revenue_usd" in AppsFlyer terms.

Sessions

Event count of "af_session" as defined by AppsFlyer.

Event Count

Number of event occurrences.

User Count (Unique)

Number of unique users performing the event.

Historical Data

You can get up to 6 months of historical data. To do so you'll need to contact your AppsFlyer Partner Solutions teams and ask them to provide us with historical data. Otherwise AppTweak will only start collecting data from the day you've made the integration.

Activity Data

AppsFlyer has two ways to analyze user event data. Event data refers to actions that are performed after an install, such as in-app purchases, subscriptions, registrations, and level completions. AppsFlyer either groups this data by chronological event date or user acquisition date.

  1. Data grouped chronologically is referred to as Activity Data.

  2. Data grouped by user acquisition date is referred to as Lifetime Value (LTV).

In Reporting Studio, we will always display Activity Data. It's important to bear this in mind when comparing numbers with your AppsFlyer dashboard, as you might be seeing LTV instead.
