How to customize your Top Charts
Top Charts allows users to identify the top-ranked applications in the store, country, and categories of their choice.
By default, we will show you the top-ranking free apps in the United States across the “All” category in the App Store and the Google Play Store.
You can alos create, edit, and duplicate up to nine different charts. Another valuable feature is the ability to reorder your top charts by simply dragging and dropping them in the order that pleases you.
There are two ways to add a new chart. “+ New Chart” button and the big round one next to the other top charts.
2. Start customizing your new chart by selecting the Store, Country, Type, and Category then click 'Add chart' to save your preferences!
3. Now you have successfully customized and added a new chart to your dashboard! You may customize, edit, and add duplicate to up to 9 different charts.
Analyze your newly customized Top Charts
Once you have added all of your 9 charts to your dashboard, this is what it will look like. You can view your charts using the 'Dense-View' or 'Wide View'
In the graphic above, these are the Top apps in the Health & Fitness Category in the United States, Canada, Germany, Austria, and Belgium in both the Google Play and Apple Store.
Filter your charts by a specific app, store, country, category, and type
If you'd like to filter by a specific app, you may do so by entering the app name in the search bar above. You will immediately see which country the app you entered is the strongest.
You can also filter your charts by Store, Country, Category, and Type (Free, Paid, or Grossing). Also, you can view the Top 200 ranking apps.
View the Top Charts by Rank vs Growth
The default view is by Rank. However, you can also view all of your customized Top Charts by Growth between two given date ranges. We take the rank on date 1 and the one of date 2 and compute the growth between these 2 dates.
Then, we will add a coefficient that will put a certain weight on this growth. It is a rule that will get you more weight if an app succeeded to get to the top positions (ex: An app going from 300 to 100 will be lower in the rankings compared to an app that went from 150 to rank 50).
Next to each app, we provide the app ranking growth from the two given date ranges.

AppDNA in Top Charts
Another valuable feature that is now available in Top Charts is AppDNA. AppDNA is AppTweak's robust app taxonomy that paint a more precise picture of an app's competitive landscape. An app's AppDNA is a more specific category describing its core purpose.
You can explore the leading apps in your specific AppDNA category (or GameDNA for games) in Top Charts to find new competitors, follow user trends, and identify new market entrants.
