AppTweak’s Trending Keywords feature helps you identify the keywords gaining traction in your selected markets and categories—empowering you to optimize your App Store Optimization (ASO) and Apple Ads (ASA) strategies based on seasonality and emerging trends.

Easily find the top trending keywords that are relevant for your apps and games by following these simple steps:

1. Select a Store, Market, and Category/DNA

Start by choosing the store (App Store or Google Play), market, and store category you’d like to analyze.

If you’re on an Enterprise plan, you can go even deeper with AppDNA and GameDNA—AppTweak’s taxonomy of 200+ subcategories—for more granular, targeted insights.

2. Choose a Date Range

Use the date picker to select the desired end date for your analysis. The data displayed will cover the 90 days preceding that selected date.

3. Analyze Trending Keywords

AppTweak identifies the top 10 trending keywords from the 20 days leading up to the selected date. A trending keyword is defined by the largest variation in search volume over that period.

4. Monitor Keyword Volume History

The chart displays the volume history of these keywords for the 90 days before your selected date. Use this visual to identify trend patterns, seasonality effects, and emerging keyword opportunities.

5. Explore the Keywords Table

Below the chart, you'll find a table listing the top 50 trending keywords for the selected category, ranked by volume variation over the last 20 days of your selected date range.

You can reorder this table using different criteria, such as today's volume, today's maximum reach, results, or difficulty. This can be done either from the table header or the selector above the chart. When you change the sorting criteria, the chart will update to display the top 10 keywords from the newly sorted table.

Note

This feature is currently available only for Apple Ads-supported countries.
