Top App Creatives
In Top App Creatives, we show the visuals of top-ranked apps and games in any market.💡 Apps are sorted by their Top Chart ranking for your chosen store/country/category.
You can see and compare the creatives of top apps in one single view to:
Analyze creative trends across categories and countries
Understand which creative elements work for top apps
Find new inspiration to improve your own creative strategy
You can easily compare specific screenshot placements using our screenshot slider. Just pick how many screenshots you want to show - the layout will adjust accordingly.
Remember, the first 3 screenshots are the most prominent, so it's smart to focus on those!
You can explore, compare, and analyze the following creatives in AppTweak:
Screenshots on both stores
Icons on both stores
Feature graphics on Google Play
App headers on the App Store (exclusively available to apps selected by Apple during a featuring opportunity)
Promotional content on Google Play / In-app events on the App Store
A/B tests on Google Play / Product page optimization on the App Store
Creatives based on AppDNA or GameDNA
AppDNA & GameDNA is AppTweak's unique app taxonomy that paints a more precise picture of the app competitive landscape. If typical store categories are too broad, you can use AppDNA to analyze creatives in more relevant subcategories.
Similarly, GameDNA categorizes games in specific markets based on gameplay.
💡 When looking at DNA subcategories, apps are sorted according to rank in their main category and weighted by that category's level of competitiveness (based on app download velocity).
Screenshot Translations ✨
We understand how frustrating it can be to see a screenshot in a language you don’t understand. With AI screenshot translations, you can understand how competitors localize their messaging at the click of a button.
Once translated, the text can be easily copied.
If you want to hide translations, just click the "Hide Translation" button at the top of the screenshot set.
Localization Insights
Localization Insights allow you to compare creatives - screenshots, in-app events, videos, icons, and more - from one app in multiple countries.
See which apps are localizing their creatives.
Research the most/least common visual elements across countries.
Get unique inspiration to localize your creatives.
Once you've selected an app in a specific store, you can switch to the other to check if they are using the same/different localization strategies depending on the store.
We group markets that use the same creatives together, allowing you to easily identify in which countries an app has localized its metadata, and how.
⚠️ See visually similar creatives appearing separately? This is due to URL or pixel-level differences.
AI Screenshot Library ✨
You can find advanced insights for creative optimization with our AI Screenshot Library. Use AI to search our entire database with keywords to uncover new, relevant ideas for your creative updates.
Here's how it works:
AI-powered image recognition: Our system analyzes each screenshot to detect UI elements, text, characters, backgrounds, and promotional graphics.
Clean, consistent tags: It assigns descriptive tags (e.g., chat interface, cat, discount banner) and standardizes them to keep results reliable.
Smarter search: Tags fuel the Screenshot Library’s search engine. Whatever you search for, the system returns all matching screenshots and ranks them by relevance to your query.
Flexible filtering: Each search shows a list of the most frequently detected tags - allowing you to filter by theme, combine patterns, or explore new creative angles.
To get started, first type a keyword or sentence in the search bar to see screenshots matching your query.
If your search is not returning the results you hope for, try changing the category for better results. Querying in English works best, but other languages return good results too.
The screenshot results are ordered by relevancy to each user query, meaning we compare your search to app information and rank the highest-corresponding screenshots first.
Since you can explore our entire database, the AI Screenshot Library returns both current and archived (no longer in use) screenshots - so it’s normal if they don’t always match what's on the ASO Report.
To simplify your research, we provide a list of tags - common design elements found in the screenshots you search for. These tags automatically update with each new keyword search. The number next to each tag indicates the minimum number of screenshots matching this keyword/tag combination.
If you select multiple tags, we’ll return screenshots that match all the selected tags combined.
To see all the available tags assigned by our AI system for this keyword search, you can also click the "See more" button:
You can leverage additional actions at the screenshot level:
See screenshot set: You may want to review the entire set of screenshots to see how your chosen design element fits within the bigger picture.
Save to moodboard: Once you've found creative inspiration, click "Save to moodboard" to save a screenshot for future reference, or to be shared with your team.
Translate text: At the click of a button, translate the text on screenshots to understand local messaging.
🌏 The AI Screenshot Library is currently available for apps in: Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, India, Japan, Korea, Saudi Arabia, Spain, the UK, and the USA.

Moodboards
Moodboards allow you to save any creatives from one app across multiple stores, countries, or categories. Use this feature to:
Save up to 20 sets per type of creative (screenshots, feature graphic, etc) in custom moodboards.
Easily compare specific creatives that will help your future optimization work.
Save creatives based on a certain theme for further analysis (e.g. Halloween-themed creatives).
Compare the creatives of one app over time (you can save the same app’s creatives multiple times to compare recent versions).
To save a creative set, simply hover over the set you prefer and click the save button. This action will automatically save the set to "My Moodboards," where you can then access it at any time.
✅ Creative sets will be saved in their current state, meaning even if the app updates its metadata, your saved creatives won't be impacted.
