When adding a new metric in Reporting Studio, you have the option to select an aggregation method.

Depending on the metric type, we automatically suggest an aggregation, such as sum or average. For example, you can calculate the sum of quantitative metrics like downloads or revenue, or the average of metrics like ratings or rankings.

💡 Aggregation will create only one data series, simplifying your report. For example, below we decrease the number of data series from 39 to 1 by using the aggregation "sum." If you exceed the 30 data series limit per report, aggregation will ensure that only one series is added, allowing you to save your metric.

Below, we provide some examples of aggregation for your app store reporting:

Example 1: Aggregate countries

First, you can combine countries by region or create custom country groups to analyze a new market.

You can also get a worldwide view of performance by choosing "Worldwide" in the country selector:

Example 2: Aggregate App Store & Play Store data

For AppTweak metrics (ASO Intelligence), you can combine data from both the App Store and Google Play Store in one series.

Metrics like Download Estimates and Revenue Estimates are ideal for aggregation:

💡 Aggregate iPhone & iPad data: AppTweak separates iPhone and iPad data for ASO Intelligence metrics. To create a global view, search for both the iPhone and iPad app and use aggregation to combine them.

Example 3: Aggregate keywords

You can also get insights from multiple keywords by aggregating them. In the example below, we aggregate the keywords “crypto,” “trading,” and “bitcoin” across several countries (Germany, Spain, France, and Italy) for crypto-related apps. The result is the sum of keyword installs for each app in the selected countries.
