Once you've successfully integrated your console with our App Reviews Manager, you'll be able to see all the reviews detected in your console over the past 90 days. We will then update each review to display its history (review & rating updates).
In the App Reviews Manager interface, you can display reviews & replies for various apps, stores, countries, or languages depending on your needs.
How to create an automation rule
Automation is crucial to scale your app store reputation by automatically replying to reviews.
βοΈ Automation is only available for App Reviews Manager Enterprise plans.
In App Reviews Manager, you can start with a pre-defined automation rule or set a custom automation rule based on the following conditions:
Apps (select the apps you want to automatically reply to)
Languages/countries
Star rating (of the reviews you want to reply to)
Number of replies (you can decide to allocate only a restricted number of replies per automation, or even test an automation rule with a smaller sample)
Start date and end date (only reviews posted between these dates will be replied to. Keep in mind that if no end date is specified, the automation won't stop unless it reaches the number of replies allocated or you decide to stop it manually)
Keywords included (if the automation finds these keywords in a review, it will reply)
Keywords excluded (if the automation finds these keywords in a review, it will not reply)
Search across all languages
If you are targeting multiple languages, you can enable the option "Search across all languages". With this option enabled, reviews in all languages are translated into English in the background, allowing the English seed keywords to match reviews in any language.
If this option is off, we will only match keywords in the original reviews.
Pre-defined automation rules
Based on a reviews analysis, we drew up a list of keywords linked to specific topics. We created 3 rules you can use to start building an automation rule:
Bug: This automation detects reviews mentioning bugs using a predefined list of keywords. Click this rule to view its specific conditions.
Feature request: This automation detects reviews mentioning feature requests using a predefined list of keywords. Click this rule to view its specific conditions.
App update: This automation detects reviews mentioning app updates using a predefined list of keywords. Click this rule to view its specific conditions.
For these rules, we add in the "Keywords included" condition all the keywords that may belong to each topic so that you can target them more easily. You can adjust this list as necessary.
How to reply: Use AI or templates
Your automated replies can be done with AI (GPT-4) or your own templates.
βGPT-4 is a large language model developed by OpenAI that uses machine learning algorithms to understand and respond to natural language queries and commands. It is trained on a vast corpus of text data and is capable of generating human-like responses to a wide range of topics and questions. GPT can be used for a variety of applications, including language translation, text summarisation, and conversational interfaces for chatbots and virtual assistants.β
For our GPT replies, we've developed the best prompts to ask to accurately consider the text, language and context of each review you want to reply to.
We suggest 3 reply types via GPT-4
Neutral version
Short version
Formal version
Remember, GPT-4 is an AI, and like all AI, it's not flawless. Just something to keep in mind as you use it!
You can also use your templates. First, you can pick several templates to address a specific topic.
Once you have selected your templates, we'll randomly assign them to all the matching reviews. This can help you make sure users don't think you're just copying and pasting the same response for each review.
Validate your (automated) replies before they're posted
You may prefer to double-check replies before they are posted on the store. In this case, you can select between two options while setting up your automation:
Manual approval required
Automatic reply
If you choose manual approval, an additional step will be added to your automation rules, giving you the ability to validate your replies before they go live:
When you click "Validate Replies," you'll be able to view all replies linked to the corresponding reviews. In a few clicks, you can then edit or delete them. Once you are satisfied with your replies, just hit "Reply all".
Monitor KPIs for automation rules
Once the automation rule is set up, we offer KPIs to monitor each one of them:
Positive impact: The average of all increased ratings for reviews after a reply.
Negative impact: The average of all decreased ratings for reviews after a reply.
Total impact: Overall impact of replies based on the weighted average of all the changes after a reply.
These KPIs will be updated every time a review is edited following a reply, where the rating has increased/decreased.
Edit your automation rules
Once an automation rule is set up, you can perform multiple actions:
Edit: This action allows you to open the conditions pop-up and edit them if needed
Delete: This deletes the automation rule immediately.
Duplicate: This action duplicates all the conditions to create a new automation rule.
You can also pause an automation rule at any time and re-activate it using the slider at the automation rule level:
