How to launch an Exact Discovery Experiment

1. Launch experiment setup

Create a new campaign in AppTweak > select Search Results > Exact Discovery Experiment.

You'll then be able to select your app, country, daily budget, default Max CPT, etc.

2. Use built-in automation rules

By default, we automatically assign an automation rule to the experiment to pause low-performing keywords with a cost per acquisition (CPA) more than 2× higher than the campaign average.

3. Review keyword suggestions

Atlas AI, our AI model trained on 10+ years of App Store data, will then generate a custom list of keywords based on your app’s category and target country. So if you launch one experiment in the UK and another in France, keyword lists for each will be uniquely optimized to those markets.

You can review and edit the list after launching the campaign. If you prefer, you can pause the campaign until you’ve reviewed all keywords.

4. Monitor performance and adjust

Once the experiment is live, track its performance directly in AppTweak. If needed, pause the campaign while you review results.

Identify which keywords you want to keep running in the experiment and which top-performers you want to transfer to other campaigns based on their keyword type (brand, competitor, or generic).
